SEIZURE OF OPIUM.
A LAUNCH SHEPHERDED AX I) SEIZED. lleccived January 28, 12.30 a.m. .Sydney, January 27. The Customs have seized over 800 this »f opium, valued between £2501) and £3 000. At tile time the steamer Empire left port this afternoon a laune.li was seen manoeuvring in her vicinity. The launch was to-night shepherded by Customs authorities, who hoarded her up tlie harbour, seized the vessel, and arrested all on board.
