HUNTLY MINERS' STRIKE.
ALLEGED BLACKLEGS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, January 2">. The Hiinlly miners and the directors of the company had separate conferences with the Minister of Mines to-day, but both were bound to secrecy by the Minister, and the results were not divulg-. ed. The Mining Union secretary, on being interviewed, said the men were as determined as ever. Referring to Mr. Alison's statement (i,at the company .would be loyal to the men who would be loyal to them, he said thai the union.' ,isls would be just as loval to their rules, and would refuse to go back until four blacklegs were removed. DECISION OF THE MINE-OWNERS. Auckland, January 23. The Taupiri directors, after an interview with the Minister of Mines, decided absolutely not to submit to any tribunal other than .Hint which the law prot vides for.
