AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. Received 24, 4.15 p.m. Sydney, Jnnuary 23. At the swimming carnival, the 220 yds breast-stroke championship was won by Finlav, of West Australia, in 3min 17 see. The 440 yds championship resulted a.s follows:—Jieaiimpairc 1, Hardwickc (New South WalesJ 2, Cecil liealy 3. Time, omin 33sec. As a result of the tournament Victoria retains the Kicran shield.
