LAWN TENNIS.
AUCKLAND v. TAKANAKI. The selectors (Dr. Keith and Messrs. Upton and Grossmann) have chosen the following to represent Auckland against Taranaki at New Plymouth on January 29th: Upton, Keith, Grossmann, A. Brown, .W. Brown, Billing, and Mrs. Cooper, Misses G. Gorrie, Harvey, and Woodroll'e. In the singles matches the members of the team will play in the above order. In the doubles the following pairs have been arranged:— Keith and Grossmann (first), Upton and W. Brown (second), A. Brown and Billing (third). Mrs. Cooper and Aliss Harvey (first 1 ,, .Misses G. Gorrie and Woodroll'e'(sccond) .Misses A. Gray, Udy, Cooper, and V. Gorrie are unable to make the trip.
