The Taranaki Garrison Band will give a concert oil the Esplanade hand rotunda to-morrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. Included iu the programme will be the cornet solo "The Lost Chord" and " Alas Those Chimes." A collection will he taken up in aid of the band funds. The iloa Road Hoard notilies that the special roll for Maua Road No. 2 special rating district is open for inspection at the Board's office, Inglewood. The biennial election of six members to represent the New Plymouth lla:'bor Board will take place on Monday, February S. Nominations close with the Returning Officer on February Ist.
