LONDON WOOL SALES. Received January 20, 10.25 p.m. London, January 20. In the brokers' joint catalogue 10,222 bales of wool appeared. There was an excellent selection, and a large attendance from all parts of the world. Merinos were very firm, producing prices occasionally in sellers' favour. Shabby cross-breds brought 5 per cent, above the prices obtained at the December sale. Choice sorts, suitable for America, realised 7% to 10-per cent, above December sales. American buyers strongly supported cross-breds, but they were weak oil. merinos. INVERCAKGILL WOOL SALES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. k ■-" Invercargill, Last Night. P"-"AF~the second wool sales of the season the catalogue totalled 10,137 bales. Nearly all was sold. Cross-breds were %d-to Id better than at last sale; otter sorts on a par. The top price for fine bred was 11 y 3 d, and most of this sort realised lid. Very little half-bred and merino came forward.
