S'llßlXKAliK IX BUSINESS. Received 17, 11 p.m. Ijumlon. January 17. The Times states that the business of the London bankers' clearing-house showed a shrinkage of m0.U00.000 compared with 1007. All the principal clearing houses showa porportiouate reduction. ' The railway receipts also showed a heavy reduction.
