PARIHAKA ROAD BOARD.

The ordinary monthly meeting was held at Kahotii on Wednesday. Present: Messrs. .1. Young (chairman). R. Warner. M. Deegan. T.' Ilarvev and G. Tvlee Half-holiday —lt was decided that Wednesday lie the weekly half-holiday for shops' and offices within the Parihakn Road Hoard district. Kaweora Road.—As 11. Vickery has not oemmenced his contract, it was decided' that be be given Fourteen days' | notice in which to commence, and, weather permitting, the work to be done in la month. They Were paying heavy rates, ami during the past ten rears they had put on 5110 yds of material. The' Board had only attended to tlieir part of the road once in ten, yoars.-Resolved, that the drains be cleared out on the road and patching done. Pigs.—Resolved, that owners of pigs be notified to keep pigs olf the roads, md the forinan report to the Board any damage done, and the owners be called upon to make the damaged parts good.
