THE LAW OF AMATEURISM. London, January 14. Mr. .Mnciiiahon, manager of the Wallabies team of amateur Australian footballers, states that allowances were unthought of in Australia till the visit of the Itev. Molineaux's team, Mr. Macmahou reminds the Scottish Union that Bedell-Sicvwright's team received allowances, and that the Wallabies were simply following the English unions' rules. They are confident that they do not infringe the laws of amateurism in any shape or form.
