FIRES.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Duitcdin, Last Niglit. At iin only hour this morning the Victoria Hotel at Uhaiorc, near Milton, wn* totally destroyed liv fire. The building, which was erected in IM«2, was owned and occupied by Airs. Stenhouso as a ptiblichouse, store, past otliee and! telephone ollice. The outbreak was diseoveivd at about 3.30, having apparently originated in the parlor. The in. Amies, four in number, lia'd to make a hurried exit, very little being saved. The building was insured for .€330, but tire owner is understood to be a heavy loser. All the mail and postal matter in the building was destroyed, and tho Mt, Stuart TCnnd Board, which used a portion of the building as offices, lost many survey records,-maps, etc. Wellington, Monday.
A stationery shop and printing office occupied by Joseph nines in Willis street was badly damaged by lire this morning. The stock is insured for 1)1(1.10. and the building for £3OO in the Norwich Taion Company.
