TAB WELLINGTON SALE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. • The third wool sale of the season was held to-day, and lasted from 2 p.m. till near midnight, and even then the star lots of single bales were held over till to-inorrow. There, was a large attendance of buyers, and bidding was animated throughout, competition being keener thai* at previous sales this season. The Americans were, however, •working on lower limits, and wool suitable for them were lower in price by about %d. Other wool sold remarkably well. The Bradford section of purchases took the bulk of the lines in the catalogue. The French took the best of-the halfbreds and most of the lambs' .wool at good prices. The range of pAes was as follows: Merino, fair to medium, 8d to 9d; halfbred, medium to good, 9d to lO'/id; halfbreds, inferior, o'/ 2 d to B'/.d; crossbred and Romncys, light condition B<4d to 9*/ 2 d, medium 7d to Sd, inferior and shabby s'/ a d to 6d; crossbred and Lincoln, bright 7d to 7'/ 2 d, inferior to medium s'/ 2 d to fld; Corriedale, 7V->d to 8!/ 2 d; lambs', fine bright 8d to £%&, medium to coarse 6'/ 2 d to *7'/U; pieces, fine 4%d to 7d, coarse ll'/jd to 5%d; bellies, 4'/ 2 d to s'/ 2 d; locks, 2>/ 2 d to 3%d.
