THRIMVfc ON HER BEAM- ENDS. | Received !>, 0.15 tt.m. Sydney, last Night. ■The barque Jane, which left Newcastle for Mauritius Islands on Tuesday, was towed to Newcastle to-day. During the heavy gale she was thrown on her beam ends. The cargo shifted nnd the vessel was in imminent peril of sinking from every sea that struck her. The fore topmast was cut away, carrying with it the main-top-gallant ninst. The weather moderating, the crew trimmed the cargo and got the vessel more upright. Then a tug picked her up.
