AXNTAIi COXFKUKM'K. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland. I.ast Night. The annual conference of the Primitive Methodist Church was opened at the Uden Terrace Church. Auckland, this afternoon. Seventy-six delegates attended, and were welcomed by the retiring president, liev, .lolin Olphert. The selection of a new president fell on (he l!ev. Kol/ert liaine. of Javnreaigill. who defeated the Rev. John Dawson, of Wellington, in a second ballot by a >!llglc vote. The liev. (J. 11. Mann was I lie only other nomination. The liev. 11. Holland was unanimously elected vice-president, and the liev. John Siithern secretary. The remainder of the afternoon was occupied in the election of minor ollicials and committee. The conference will continue till Wednesday.
