ATHLETICS.
Athletes who may not be aware of Ibe fact are notified that the Wangaiwi Caledonian Society's sports ou 22ml inst. are not being conducted as a registered meeting, consequently all competitors at the gathering will earn disqualification by the Xeiw Zealand Athletic Union. The Jlangaweka Athletic Society, however, holds its meeting on the same day. The attitude of Wanganui is, to say the least of it, very illadvised, aiid it is to be hoped tlmt wiser counsel will yet prevail.
