STRATFORD R.C. MEETING. SECOND DAY. Heavy rains during Friday night aud frequent cold driving showers on Saturday morning were the weather conditions that ushered in the second day of the Stratford races. The attendance, however, was good, though not near what was expected had the day opened well. Tho bulk of those present were visitors. Throughout the day there were slight showers, but the only rain which caused much inconvenience fell during the preliminary of the last race. The course was in good order, the new fillings standing well, contrary to expectations. The sport was excellent and the finishes good, the most notable feature being the absence of riding uf Denis in the Ladies' Purse, when he had the race all his own way for the asking. Investments ou the t'otalisator were £0125 10s, as against £7124 on the second day of the previous meeting. The total for the meeting was £13,11!) 10s, as against £14,008 last year. The bookmakers' licenses this year brought in £2lO, revenue which was not obtained last year. Thus from this standpoint the meeting was more profitable than that of 1!)(1S. The club is to be congratulated upon the conduct of its meeting and the general excellence of the arrangements for all parties. Results:—
