lnvereaigill, Last Night. I Much interest is taken locally iu tlio i entries for the Southland Caledonian Society's Xew Year sports on account of its position as a disqualfied body by the Xew Zealand Athletic Union and the Sports Federation. Entries closed to-night, and there is a record entry fo,' all classes of events, with the exception of quoits. Last year there were 304, and this year 344 have l>een reeorved. Amongst the pedestrians entered is L. C. .MeLaehlan.
