London, December 24. ; The Australian amateur Rugby ' team (the '-Wallabies'') defeated North Glamorgan by 13 points (three tries, two of which were converted) to 5 (one try converted). ' WALLABIES DEFEATED BY SWANSEA. Received 28 0.3.5 a.m. London, December 27. I Swansea beat the Wallabies by a pen- '. alty goal and a try to ail. Forty thousand spectators were present. Swansea scored a goal early in the game, and a try before half time. Swansea played a "considerably better game forward and outside. During the second half Griffin ■was ordered off the field for rough play. THE NORTHERN UNION GAME. Received 26, 7 p.m. The Australian League team, playing again-t Leeds, scored 1 goal and 4 tries to Leeds' 2 goals and two tries. AUSTRALIAN LEAGUE TEAM DEFEATED. Received 28 0.35 a.m. London, December 27. Twelve thousand witnessed the match, Australian League team against Oldham, which resulted: Oldham 1 goal and 3 tries to the Australians' 1 goal and 1 try. Messenger placed a goal from a penalty two minutes after the start. Oldham, by strenuous play, scored an unconverted try before halftime. A rough-and-tumble 'game afterwards ensued, Abercrombie securing a try in the last minute, which Messenger failed to covert.
