By 1(1 o'clock this evening it ; is expected that everything will be , cleared, as a great portion is already . on order. The Tarauaki Meat Bazaar's central 1 and western shops arc tastefully decori alcd with tree ferns, nikau palms, and ■ evergreens. The displays include all the choicest of savory joints, poultry, etc. . A line of wether mutton, grown especii ally for the Christmas trade, is guarau- ; teed to please the most fastidious taste, . as is also the lamb, which is exceptionally good in quality. Customers can , also have all their requirements met in t the matter of poultry, sucking pigs. , veal, etc., while the array of small goods is particularly appetising. The firm has | every justification for its belief that a record Christmas business must ensue. Mr. Walter Scott has been going at n high tension to make ready sullicient small goods. The trade is 'sure to be heavy at this shop as the quality of ftc goods is well and favorably known. .Messrs. Hammond and Co. anticipate heavy orders and have a well-stocked shop of the best quality of assorted meats suitable for Christmas fare.
