Xkc following promotions and transfers in the Post* mid Telegraph Depart- - went arc announced by the PostmasterGeneral:—Mr. K. Kcele, postmaster, " Oueenstown, is promoted to tlic post- ■ mastership, Lyttelton, in place of Mr. J. ' Delany, who is retiring on pension; Mr. .T. A. Algic, relieving postmaster, Weilington, succeeds Mr. K«els as postanaller nf Queonstown. The Tailiape office '" li -i been raised in status, anil Mr. J. i.weus, postmaster, Woodville, is pro. moted to that office. Mr. R. Boync, postmaster, Tailiape, replaces Mr. Owens at Woodville. An exchange has been arranged between Mr. J. J. Pickett, ' postmaster, Stratford, and Mr. C. E. ' Nicholas, postmaster, Tauranga.
