During yesterday Dr. Goode was taken to tile hospital oa the recoinmenuation of the gaol surgeon and another medical man in consultation, tic rsj suffering from a wound under the chin, which is stated to resemble a bulletwound. . So far the accused has not given any explanation of how or when the wound was inflicted, but it Ttrill be remembered that Constable Price saw blood dripping from the accused's beard when he was so unceremoniously ushl ered from the surgery on that fatal Monday afternoon. The patient is confined in an isolated building, more commonly designated the "D.IV cell, and he is in the continual charge of the gaol authorities. A further investigation of the wound is to be made by the medical staff today, and meanwhile the medical superintendent tenders no information conpernbig the seriousness or otherwise of the wound.
