Some alterations in the holiday arrangements in the Post and Telegraph Department during the holidays are notified amongst the mail notices oa page four.
The Uhngorei Ebad Board invitesj tenders, to close on Thursday nevt, for breaking stone. Members of the Equitable Building Society of New Plymouth (First and Second Groups) arc notified that subscriptions will be due and payable today (Monday), at the Secretary's office, Currie-street, from 9 a.m. to 12.30, from , 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 0 p.m.— Advt. Ambury Bros.' windows and store arc now full of dainty holiday apparel and seasonable furnishings, men's and boys' holiday suits, hats, etc. Customers are invited to inspect same. Style and value right—Advt. Curtain values are telling at White's this week. The firm have opened a number of lines which have been bought at big discount rates, and this advantage is being given the public. Several expressions of appreciation of the cheapness of some of the numbers sold, have, been overheard, and news of this sort spreads. Another new line nt 13s fid per pair was opened on Friday.
