CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER
SEAMEN'S SQUABBLE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At the inquest on John Ferguson, ship's fireman, who died at the hospital oiv Monday last, evidence was given that on the previous Saturday night, deceased "was struck by Robert' Charles Collins, mechanical engineer, and fell heavily from the footpath to the road, never regaining consciousness.. Collins said Ferguson was drunk, and. wanted to fight, and he merely gave him "a bit of « shove." The jury found death due to fracture of the skull through falling on the roadway, by reason of a blow received while in a' state 01 intoxication. Collins will appear before the Magistrate to-morrow moraine on a charge of manslaughter. °
