N.S.W. ESTIMATES. Sydney, December 18. With the aid of the closure the Go* vernment's estimates for the year's ex. penditure we.re passed by. the Assembly, Loans amounting to £6,250,000 are provided for. Of this amount £2,500,000; is for redemption of loans that fall doe next year, £1,500,000 for railway* and tramways, and £250,000 for the Barren' jack reservoir.
THUNDERSTORM IN SYDNEY. Sydney, December 18. : A violent thunderstorm visited Sydney last night. A boy named Oaßll. who was driving a cart at Basley, was struck dead. THE WESTRALIAN STORM, Perth, December 18. It is estimated that fifty people perished in the recent storm which wrecked many of the vessels of the pearling fleet at Broome. The damage done 1« valued at £20,000.
