Newbery v. Rath, claim £43 0s 3d (Mr. Townsend for plaintiff), judgment for amount, with court costs 52s and solicitor's fees 31s; if. N. Cossar v. J. Taclor, claim £1 13s lid (Mr. Wilkes for 'plaintiff), judgment for amount, with costs 38s Oil; H. Joll v. .). Taylor, claim £lO lis lOd

Frank Robert Waters, of Te Kuiti, was charged with wilfully and unlawfully making a declaration in respect to a claim for enrolment of a voter of Taumarunui. He pleaded not guilty. Mr. Townsend appeared for the Registrar I and Air. 11. lline for defendant. The Magistrate's decision was that there was no case. Defended civil eases: Kate Frost v. James Owens, claim £4 lis lid (Mr. Wilkes for plaintiff), judgment for amount claimed with court costs 31s Od and solicitor's fee 20s; W. J. Lonergan v. C. Kruger and J. W. Al'alcolmson, claim £0 (Air. Townsend for plaintiff and Air. Wilkes for Mr. Al'alco'lnison), judgment for amouat claimed, with costs 325.

Bodley was the recipient of a presentation from the railway staff and athletic friends. Richards' Entertainers gave a performance in St. John's Hall on Wednesday evening, when the audience was treated to some clever items by. the jugglers and several fine moving pictures.

in the school. Refreshments were handed round, and a most enjoyable dance followed.
