The departure of the Rotoiti for Onehunga to-night has been delayed until 11 o'clock in order to allow the "Scarlet Troubadours" >o proceed North after their performance in New Plymouth.
The s.g. Ulimaroa will leave Wellington for Sydney at 10 p.m. on Thursday, 31st, instead of the usual time oa indav, Ist January. " The' Rarawa from Onehunga yestcr. day morning brought 54 tons of general cargo and 250 fire-bricks, etc., 320 pipes, 214 bags of manure. 60 bags of coal, M * hifs of lime, 20 kegs of sulphur, 455 bags of sugar, 50 sacks of flour, 66 of fruit, and 14 crates of strawberries. A Wellington telegram states that the Morayshire, which arrived from Liverpool last night, was safely berthed. On the- Bth December, at 2.30 a-m., the circulating discharge passage of the condenser hurst, aad was followed by a big inrush of water to the engine-room. Only prompt steps prevented the floodin" of the engine-room and more serious results. The vessel was hove-to for 39 hours, during which very stormy weather was experience. The second officer (Mr. Smithers} was nearly carried away by a sail which was blown to fragments. Mr. Smithers was badly knocked about.
