IMr. Lloyd-ticorgc, Chancellor of the Exchequer, addressinif a gathering of Welshmen at the Nat'ional Liberal Club, declared that the whole fortunes of Liberalism would be staked on one great attempt to shutter the sceptre of the House of Lords. It might prove, he added, the liual struggle bet ween the democracy and the aristocracy. LORD ROSEKKRY'S. COMMITTEE'S REPORT. Received .15, 10.35 p.m. ijondon, December 15. The. Premier (Mr. 11. 11. Asquith) states that lie is not prepared at present to take action in connection with the report of Lord Rosebery's committee upon the reform of the House of Lords.
