Sydney, Da-ember 11. Tlie girl O'J-eary, whu slept in a room I with Miss Kelly, has been arrested on suspicion. At the inquest tiie lady proprietor of the Central Hotel deposed that the girl 0 Leary eaine into her room early in tip morning a'ud reported that Miss Kelly had burst a Mood vessel. She went into the room and found the girl with her throat cut. o'l,eary afterwards told the story about the man escaping through tlie window, in the meantime O'Leary had 'changed her clothes in witness' room. f % The police discovered partially-burned portions oi' vlothing, apparently bloodstained, u.nder a copper. The owner of the hotel was unaware of a lire being there since Saturday. So far aa she knew Kelly and O 1 Leary were on good terms. Doctor Scott deposed as to finding blood on the girl O'Leary's petticoat, underclothing and lingers. She aeeounted for this by saying she had been on the bed holding the dying girl. A big three-hladed pocket knife was I also produced. One of the blades was marked with blood.
