Walt that the amendments made by the House of Lords in the Land Values of Scotland Bill were such as to make it impossible for the Government to proceed wo* the Bill. BILLS WITHDRAWN. Kcceived 10, 9.5 p.m. London, December 10. The Premier (Mr. H. H. Asquith) announced in the House of Commons the withdrawal for the present year of Mr. Birrcll's Irish Land Bill, which he hoped to see passed in 100!); also the Town Planning Bill.
