HELPIXC THE IMPERIAL IDEAL. London, December 0. Professor Egcrton, the Beit Professor of Colonial History at Oxford, speaking ut the Colonial Institute, dwelt on urn Imperial consequences of tho Rhodes Scholarship bequest and the responsibility of the Rhodes scholars as missioned of the Pan-Britannic ideal. He hoped they would assist to found a school of Imperial history which would help the people of Britain to become wise about the prejudices and passions of particular localities.
