EXTINGUISHING THE MIDDLEMEN'. London, December 8. The Hon. J, W. Taverner, Agent-Gen-eral for Victoria, speaking to an interviewer on the cll'ect of speculation on the produce markets, said he hoped that ill the near future the statistics ol various Governments relating to wheat, wool, and other produce would be published universally by an International Agricultural Institute. This would act to some extent as a check 011 the specu lation of the middlemen.
