DEATH OF THE 'M AUD. PASSENGERS' WKAU'LOCS ESCAPE. Received 10, 0.4 oa.ni. Sydney, December fl. (luiird Costello has dinl of the injuries he received in tile 111 - Mountain accident. The passenger, had a miraculous escape. The runaway vehicle dashed down a grade of one in forty at a terriiic pace. The passenger cars were at the end of the train. When tliie breakaway occurred the derailment of some wagons in front of the cars stayed the onward progress, and saved the lives of the passengers. The train was laden with copper, wool and chall'. The wool burned fiercely. When the (ire broke out hundreds of men who Were working on a deviation line threw earth on the tire and extinguished it.
