FIRES.

By Telegraph.-—Pr«ss Association. Wellington, Last Night. T« 0 seven-roomed houses in Colle»e----street were destroyed by fire on Saturday night, both owned by John ScauIV'll, AYanganui. One was occupied by Mrs. Garbatt, and the other by Charles I'errin. Both buildings were insured in the Commercial Union office, one for £2OO and the other for £3OO. The inturanees on the contents were unascertunable. At 10.15 a fire broke out in a sevenroomed house at Kelburne occupied bv Albert Byrne, and owned by Thomas Lyons. No water was available, and everything was completely destroyed. The furniture and effects were insured in the Manchester office for £2OO. The building was uninsured.
