KIDNAPPED BY BRIGANDS.
A GERMAN'S EXCITING EXPERIENCE. .Petersburg, December 4. Brigands kidnapped Herman Neiifehl, a wealthy German l'esidcnt, at llolbstadt, in tile Caucasus, ami convey t him to the village of Petrovsk. They refused to accept a ransom of £2OOO, demanding double that amount, A corps of mounted police, with a 1 couple of machine giras, bombarded the village and killed the ringleaders. Nenfcld, by throwing himself to the ground, avoided injury and was rescued.
