At Clevedon on Monday there was a large muster of stock, which sold at improved rates, everything in the yard bcing denied. Dairy cows sold at from £4 5s to 15 17s (id, empty do. CHRISTCHL'RCH STOCK MARKET. At the Addington live stock market oil Wednesday there were good entries of stock and a fair attendance. Fat cattle were easier. Store sheep sold at about last week's rates. Fat lambs were not up to last week's hvA of prices, and pigs soid without much change. Some lines of forward shorn 2-tooths. mixed sexes, changed hands at 10s (id to 12s. and a line of very good. 4-tooth ewes with lambs at 13s 4d. Shorn- 4. (i and 8-tooth ewes with KM per cent of lambs made f»s fid, aged ewes with lambs (is !)d, all counted in each case. A few cull 2-tooth shorn wethers brought (is 2d. There was a larger en try of fat lambs than last week, mostly i of good to prime quality. Competition was again confined to the butchers. Porkers and baconers were in very large supply, but prices did not suffer much. There was rather a small yarding of slips and other pigs, and prices were equal to those obtainable last week. A large propotion of shorn sheep. The quality of the sheep and wool was not up to the av*>ia"e, very few good quality being forwarded.'
