THE FIRST ELECTIONS, GREAT REJOICING. Constantinople, December 3. There has been great rejoicing at the election of the Parliament under the new constitution. At Constnntinnplc the ballot boxes were escorted bv n ' cheering procession two miles long,' npresenting the various religious communities and led bv their spiritual heads. General Mahcr Pasha lias been assassinated by an oflieer named Clava Gussinjeli, supposed to be a spy in ths employ of the supporters of the old regime.
