SOUTHERN MAORI DISTRICT. A CLOSE CONTEST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christc'hurch, Last Night. Sir. 11. W. Bishop, S.M., returning officer for the Southern Maori district, today received the outstanding returns, which give Mr. Parata a majority of nine votes. Up till then Mr. Urn* bud been leading by o'.Te vote.
