ECHO OF THE BOER WAR.
UNVEILING A MEMORIAL. Received 3, 8 p.m. Pretoria, December 3. A memorial to Commandant Scheepeis and his companions who were shot as rebels during the Boer war was unveiled at Gralllement. E.v-Presidcnt Stcyn sent a message declaring that if Commandant ScJicepers had done anything conllicting with the laws he had only obeyed the instructions of his superiors, but Steyn added: "J am unaware that anything conflicting with the laws was done."
