SCULLING.
AISNST v. WEBB. By Telegraph.—Pre«s Association. Wanganui, Last Night. Though the Webb-Amst race, for the sculling championship of the worlil is to take place iu a fortnight's time, comparatively little interest is being manifested by the public. This is largely accountable to the fact that the contestants are in camp some miles up the river. Both men are training satisfactorily, and are in the pink of condition. There is n<» doubt tlint a rattling gooil race will be put up, but critics are of opinion that Webb must win. Amst has done some good spins over the full course, and has shown that he can stay till the llnisliing-post is reached. Webb lias also gone over the full course, and, though the times have not been, divulged, his .party are said to bo quite confident' as to the result of the raeo.
