LOXDON WOO- SALES. London, November 30. The wool sales have been postponed oh account of fog. WOOL SALES AT NAPIER.
By Telegraph.—Presa Association. Napier, Last Nigit, The fir?t wool sale of the season was h'eld to-day, when over 6,700 bales were offered. There was a large attendance of buyers from America, England, the Continent and Soothers and local mills. A feature of the sale was tEe keen competition for all lots of wool suitable for the American market and for the best qualities of fine crossbreds, -prices ranging from lOd to 12% d. Coarse crossbreds also showed a considerable rise ia prices as compared with th? closing rates of September and equal to the prices obtained in this market at the December sale of -1907. The condition of wool throughout was much better than- it. was last year, being better grown 'and in splendid order. A few lots showed that no care bad been taken in skirting. Following is the range of prices obtained:—Fine crossbreds, good lOd to 12<4d, medium 8d to 9%d, inferior G'/ 2 d to 7</ 2 d, coarse crossbreds 7d to B'/,d, medium s<4d to 7d, pieces first quality 4%d to 5%d, second 3d to 4%d, lock's l'/ 2 d to 3d.
