JIEETI'-\G OF SYNOD. The Wanguuui Synod of the .Methodist Church of Australasia opens in New Plymouth to-day. The chairman of the district, Rev. C. E. Beecroft, of Feeding, will preside. There will be a sacramental service at IU.SO this morning and a ministerial session at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. The public reception of delegates will be hold tin's evening at 7.30 ill the Wliilciey !!;;!!. Mr. 11. J. H. Okey, M.l\, presiding. Addressee of welcome will lie given by his Worship the Mayor and Rev. \V. Drew. Revs. J. H. llaslam, J. U. Chapman, and E. VP.
