PEDIGREE SHOW CATTLE.

At the Show grounds on Thursday morning an unusually good lot ot pedigree cattle will he submitted for sale by public auction by Mr Newton King. The Department of Agriculture are sending from their Ruakiisa Experimental farm -1 pedigree Ayrshire hulls, ail of which have been tested for tuh-r----culosis and are animals which will give every satisfaction.

The renowned Jersey breed will be represented by prize cattle from the most noted hreeders prominent among whom is .Mr A. Buchanan of Jersey Holme, Palincrston North, who has sent the following choice animals—March Brow, a four-year-old bull, representing the cream of the famous MeCnllongTi's Magnet blood, which was so successful in Australian show rings and butterfat contests. The full sister to March Brown has won many championships and first prizes at llawkes Bay and Wairarapa shows. Mr Buchanan has mated this fine bull with all his best cows, thus evidencing his high opinion and confidence in the merits of this line animal. Magnet's Defender, a yearling son of the grand dairy and show cow .Magnet's Gleam, which was killed on her way to the show last year. Queen, a very heavy milker, Wistaria, testing over 5 per cent buffer fat, Cream Wave a yearling heifer tracing to the imported* bulls Doctor and Golden Drown, and three exceptionally promising calves, complete Mr Buchanan's consignment.

Mr S. 1!. Lancaster, of FalinersHrn North, has entered half a dozen selected young bulls, ranging from 8 lo 13 months old. bred from his best stock. .Mr W. 11. Bootli, of Carterton, will dispose of a yearling hull which tooii first prize at the recent Carterton shofr and 2 vearliug heifers. Mr. W. J. Freeth, of Uronui, will submit a choice yearling bull "Yankee Lad'' by that high class imported bull "Yankee Sweet" out of Mr A. E. Watkin's choice cow "Magnet's Lass.'' The reliable Shorthorn breed will be represented by a splendid 4 year old bull "Picnic,'' the property of .Mr W. Birdling, imported from Canterbury. Full pedigrees and particulars will be j given at the sale which will commence I at 10 o'clock. Farmers and breeders ] should avail themselves of this opportunity of purchasing exceedingly choice foundation stock from which to breed winners in butter fat contests and show rings. '
