THE AGRICULTURAL SHOW. The Tarauaki Agricultural Society's aiimial slioiv which opens to-day promises to be the most successful in tile history of tlie institution. The growth of the Society within recent years has been remarkable, a result for which the devotion and enthusiasm of an energetic committee and capable secretary has been the main responsible. By their concerted efforts the fanners uf the district have been induced to take a personal interest in tile show, and to regard it as a rcllcx of that which is best ill their industry. As a slock, agricultural and dairy produce exhibilion, the society now coin mauds the support and confidence of the best exhibitors in the province and beyond, and naturally also attracts an increasing patronage from the public. For to-day's show the exhibits all round are of a very high grade, and competition promises to be keen. In a measure the success of the show is dependent oa the weather, which fortunately at the time of writing promises to be fine. Uiven fine weather for People's Day on Thursday, a record attendance, contributed to largely by an influx of country visitors, can safely lie anticipated.
