The Wellington Trades and Labor Council to-night removed its secretary ("Mr W If Westbrooke) irom ollice, m consequence of an interview which appeared in the New Zealand times, :n which Mr. Westbrooke expressed t«e view that Labor was committing pm - tical suicide in severing its alliance with the liberal party.
