In the singles F. B. Alexander (America) heat R. Heath (formerly Australasian champion) easily,. o—3, 6—l, o—l0 —1- j Beals Wright (America) with similar ease disposed of Baird. the Ceelong champion, the score being 7 —5 ; o—l,0 —1, 6—l. Wright showed himself a perfect master of every stroke. His power of anticipating his opponent's returns is only equalled by that of Brookes. In the championship doubles Brookes (Victoria) and A. F.
