THE TARANAKI SEAT.
To the Editor. Sir— I wish to make n friendly suggestion in favour of progressive liiberalisin. We are in all .probability going t.i have a seeond ballot between one or other of the two Liberal candidates and Mr. Okey (Opposition candidate). To recapture the Taraiiaki seat we require a solid block vote of all Liberals throughout the constituency. 1 would advise tile members of Mr. Jicllringer's committee to meet immediately after the lirst poll, or even before, discuss the situation, and unite their forces against their common adversary. 1 am almost certain the two principles -would agree that this is the wisest course to adopt, and 1 believe in other constituencies this sensible way out of the difficulty will be followed. Hoping that my suggestion may be received ia the spirit it is ottered,—l am, &c, •I'ItOGRESSIVE LUiERAL.
