PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY.
By Telegraph . —Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The Presbyterian General Assembly continued its deliberations to-day. The Theological College Committee reported a successful year. The number of ' students was somewhat smaller, only 1 one finishing m the year, as against twelve last year; but sixteen or seventeen entrants were expected next year, which will put up a new record. Including university students, 57 were studying for the ministry of the church at home or abroad. The report was adopted. The Residential College Committee reported that the total contributions to the building fund were £23,716. The committee recommended that the College be open to students of all faculties and all denominations, and the master of the College be elected by the Assembly and hold oflicc for li.e years. It was reported that the endowment fluid amounted to Cl4Bl 18s Bd. It was decided that the salary of the master be £6OO per a-auum. but a recommendation that the appointment I,p for a term of five years was negative!. The committee was instructed to arVaiK'e for opening the College for the 100)1 session.
