BOMB-MAKING CONSITKACV.. Calcutta, November 10. The High Court at Alipur rejected the evidence of Gossain regarding 'tile bomb-making conspiracy au Calcutta, because Uossam was murdered before the counsel for the defence was able to cross-examine, him.
Gossain was one of those cuargea with being concerned iu the conspiracy. At the trial he turned informer and gave evidence agaist the conspirators. While he was in the gaol hospital two of Iris former confederates by shamming illness gained admission to the hospital and murdered him openly.

The intimidation exercised by the terrorists, the unsatisfactory attitude of many of the crowd after the attempt on Lieut.-Governor Frascr, and other ominous signs at Calcutta, have aroused intense indignation in northern India. A strong feeling is expressed in favor of the establishment of a court of summary jurisdiction. The detective inspector who tracked Bhakai, the murderer of the Kennedys at Muzzafi'arporc, was shot dead in the street at Calcutta 'by three Bengalis, who escaped.
A MURDERER HANGED. DEMONSTRATION AT THE BURIAL. Received 11, 0.15 a.m. Calcutta, November 11. Kaniapc, the murderer of Gussnin,! was hanged at Alipur. Many 'women, contrary to the India custom, followed' the body to the burying ghat, The remains were placed in a pyre of sandalwood and anointed with ghee as hi the case of distinguished persons. Tha murderer's uncle delivered an oration, which was greeted with shouts of: -'Victor to Kanai!" The mourners included a thousand students.
