THE SOUTHLAND TIMES of TU ESDAY, November 3, refers to those who signed as follows: "The above is the text of a declaration to which over 100 business men lmve put their names. The signatories include nearly all branches of trade, and the representative character of the document may be estimated from the following selection of the names." Here follow ft number of names—jewellers, tobacconist, stationer, grocers, clothhr, fishmongers, aailmaker, tailors, confectioner, builders and carpenters, butchers, etc., etc. The Southland Times closes by say ing that the "names are those of reputable retailers who are in a position to give an opinion," and electors elsewhere in the Dominion will see that the opinion they give is exceedingly important—which is summed up in two sen tences: FIRST.—No-License has decide dly militated against business, which is much quieter than under I i cense. SECOND.—No-License has not helped the Temperance cause in Invercargill. MAIL ORDERS! 0 m ! !
