KING'S BIRTHDAY. Monday, the Oth inst., being a post and telegraph holiday, the following hours will be observed: — Postal Branch.—Mails for Wellington and South will close at 6.15 a.m. All other mails will close at 7.15 a.m., after | which time the Post Office will close n all its branches. The railway travelling post office will run as usual. The private box lobby will be open as usual. The telegraph branch will be open from 0 sun. till 4 pjn., and 7 p.m. till midnight. » The Telephone Exchange will open as usual. On Saturday, November 7th, the letter carriers will deliver correspondence at the Post Office public counter between the hours of 8.30 and 9.30 p.m. There will be no delivery by letter carrier on November 9th.

XOTE.—The English mail closing here on November 19th will arrive at London on December 25th (Christmas Day). NOTE.—The. English mail leaving here on November 12th arrives at London on December 20th.
