WELLINGTON BURGLARIES.
SUSPECT AIMESTED IN SYDNEY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. During the last two or three months a number of premises in different parts of Wellington and suburbs were entered by day during the temporary absence of the occupants, and a quantity of money and valuables, said to be north .1200, has been stolen. Cable adv.ee was received from Sydney last night of the arrest, yesterday of "a man named Wilfred Burgess. Warrants at Wellington have been issued against him in respect of the following chargest alleging that on 24th September, 11)08, lin did break and enter the dwelling of Thomas llrynnt and steal jewellery valued at £i ss; on the 28th September, break and enter the dwelling of .I'olm Olive Shorland and steal jewellery valued at i:Mi 10s; on the 22nd September, break and enter the dwelling of M. Mason and steal jewellery valued at Ctr 10s: on the 10th October, break and enter the dwelling of Percy Stacey, Lower Mutt, and steal jewellery ami money valued at CM 7s lid; on the 24th September, break and enter Hie dwelling of Francis Johnson and steal jewellery valued at ,C 7 ss.
